We will explore healthy strategies for sleeping, driving and optimize your workstation before surgery so that you have a game plan to follow after your surgery. This places excessive stress on the shoulder joint. Improving your posture before your upcoming shoulder surgery will reduce the amount of times you perform a tasks with your shoulder blade off the rib cage. This reduces inflammation at the shoulder joint which is the main source of pain, facilitating a more complete recovery. You will accomplish the following physical wellness milestones. • Sit without faulty loading in the neck and shoulders. • Stand with symmetrical loading through the neck and shoulders. • Walk with symmetrical loading through the neck. • Get in/out of bed and chair healthy loading through the neck. • Pick objects off the floor using a hip hinge strategy to keep neutral spine alignment. • Lift objects overhead with a 2-part lifting strategy to ensure healthy loading through the shoulders and neck.
